Stevo is a Dublin born Animator & Illustrator. He moved to London in the mid 90’s to pursue a career in traditional animation. It was here; through work at a new media company he was introduced to Flash animation. Having learnt about new media, web design and authoring, Stevo was employed by boo.com. Since then he has worked for a vast array of companies both in full time and freelance positions. He is currently working freelance from his studio in East London.
BA Digital Graphics graduate Mark Chapman demonstrated his versatility by taking second place in the Graham & Brown sponsored Design competition.
Graham & Brown are the UK's leading luxury wallpaper manufacturer, based in Blackburn but with operations in the US, France, Canada, Holland, Poland, and Russia. Last year the company celebrated their 60th birthday and puts its success down to being innovative and consistently investing in new design, which is why designers like Julien MacDonald, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and Wayne Hemmingway, all continue to work with them
Mark explained his design entry was based on traditional Indian patterns that combine highly detailed illustrations with vibrant colours. It was called Chitra Cyan (Chitra means 'pattern' in Hindi).
The award ceremony was held at the Pad Gallery in Preston, which was attended by representatives of Graham & Brown, and various members of the art and design community.
